(Photo by Nujaree Raekrun)NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: The chief of police in Muang district and three other people were injured when a passenger van ran a red light and smashed into his police truck on Wednesday. Severe damage was caused to the front of both the silver Toyota passenger van and the official silver Toyota pickup truck carrying Pol Col Thewet Pluemsut, chief of the Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station. Pol Col Thewet and his deputy Pol Lt Col Apichart Kochawet suffered several cuts on their heads and were sent to Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital. Police found that the van ran a red light at the intersection and turned right as the police truck was driving straight, leading to a head-on collision.
